Hi,

I came across your website whilst conducting some research for my dissertation which is based on the legal and ethical aspects of internet dispensing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information that is available. However the only thing i could say from a consumer point of view is that, when the page opens up it is quiet uncomfortable to look at almost like an overload of information that hits you.

Lastly i was wondering if you could e-mail me any key points that may be of interest to me from the great spex debate that you attended.

Any information would be greatly appretiated,

Thankyou

Hi Mark,
Ref Bowling glasses.
You may like to include some of these observations when you upgrade the web site to include 'Glasses for Bowlers'

There are various postures adopted by bowlers when standing on the mat and preparing to Bowl. To a greater or lesser degree they all involve the need to bend ones head in order to sight the bowling line. For those wearing spectacles this usually means that you end up trying to look through the top of the glasses which, especially if they are framed, is very difficult and detracts from the concentration needed to 'find ones line'.
The glasses you modified for me have overcome this problem and I can now see clearly - The new lenses are brilliant and now that you have lowered the nose pads the glasses sit a little higher up than normal so that I can see clearly whatever my head angle is.
I can now read the lane number too! Must be the new prescription!
Many thanks
Roy

PS I am now engaged on a course run by the English Bowling Assosciation to qualify as an EBA Coach. I shall have the opportunity to mention this to both experienced and learner bowlers.

You will know that I have already placed an advert on the http://www.miltonhill.go-plus.net web site for these glasses from you.
Many thanks,
Roy Wiggins

Too many comments to read...great if you reply to all those queries!

Trouble with varifocals I find is that I read better without them, better again with reading glasses of course.

Good luck

Hi Mark,

Thank you for inviting me to comment on the content of your web site.
The information already there is very good and explains things in sinple termninology which the lay person can understand so they are not blinded by science.
Perhaps you may wnat to include a small section about cataract operations and why they should be done. Also include local as opposed to general anaethesia. What many people do not do is get there eyes tested at an early stage ie I thought I had a dirty spectacle lens and was forever cleaning it without much effct and this prompted me to go to the optician well before my appointment was due. Perhaps such advice may be helpful to others as intervention at an earlier stage may help them understand what or why their eyesight was altering.
Sorry this is a bit long winded<i>
