If i purchase varifocals from you ,how would i know whether it is a design with a wide intermediate part ( I use computers alot) My previous varifocals were Ok except for the area used for computing was not wide enough at about 23″ away,

Hi Tim - yes it is possible, just make the near Rx plano and in effect we extend the “neutral” part of the lens to the bottom

Is it possible for a varifocal glasses to have a prescripted lenses near the top and UNcorrected for the bottom half of the glasses? By that, I mean, I am short-sighted and I require glasses for driving or watching TV, but I cannot stand wearing my glasses for reading, as I can read without glasses. Hence, the former query.

This way, I do’nt need to take my glasses off for reading and can still see distance as well.

Please advise?

wouldnt it just be better for people to go to a proper low cost opticians and get the same prices varifocals with the proper measurements taken and not just averaged like SPECSAVERS?????? the clue is in the name people!!!!!

David - our “success” rate for patients buying and being satisfied with varifocals bought online is well over 90% - so I thin kit is a mtter of the process used to calculate the correct lenses. We use a quite sophisticated system of accurate measurements, which I think helps us to achieve the high success rate - so don’t give up……it’s a lot cheaper than the high street !

This is silly - i would never buy varicals on line - i have wasted over 200£ trying and I think its silly to have tried.

I wear a varifocal lens for one eye only (the other lens is blank, not balanced). How do I price this, including extras such as a thin varifocal, when seeking a quotation on your site?

Am interested in very light & thin varifocals - my current ones are “silhouette” flexible rimless - can you provide something similar or better in varifocals?
