Dealing With Winter Morning Glare

Now that winter is drawing in and the sun is low on the horizon the same old problems seem to crop up.

Driving early in the morning throughout winter can be extremely difficult due to glare reflecting from the road ahead.

This is caused because the sun is low on the horizon and light is reflected from the road ahead directly into your line of sight.

The problem is worse when the road is either frozen or wet. Usually most people reach for there tinted glasses but the only effective way to reduce/eliminate this glare is with polarized lenses.

Polarized lenses filter out any light which is reflected from a flat surface such as a wet road. They are also tinted which helps with the suns direct glare.

To ensure your winter mornings go smoothly I recommend keeping a pair of good polarized glasses in your car. Polarized lenses are available on most of our glasses.
